Lindsey is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist with over 8 years of experience. She earned Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2015. Since then, Lindsey has worked in a private practice setting with a variety of speech and language disorders. Once she became a mother, Lindsey decided to focus all professional efforts on one of her favorite aspects of speech-language pathology: the R sound. She now has her own private practice where she exclusively treats R. She also provides training, consultations, resources, and professional development for other SLPs on best practices for treating the R sound.
“I’m so grateful I was able to work with Lindsey. As a teenager, it has been a blessing to find an SLP as encouraging and approachable as Lindsey. Her method of self reflection has really helped me realize the flaws in my speech, and through that I was able to improve. Every session was met with a smile, and Lindsey’s supportive practices made therapy not only fun, but something I looked forward to every week. Thanks to Lindsey I was able to undo fifteen years of poor R’s, and replace it with strong, understandable speech.”
Do you accept insurance?
No, we are not in-network with any insurance providers at this time. We can provide you with a superbill upon request so that you may submit for out-of-network benefits.
Do you do in-person or teletherapy?
Therapy services are provided primarily via zoom. For clients local to the DFW area, some in-person visits may be arranged as availability allows. Travel fees may apply.
Do you only provide therapy for Texas residents?
Lindsey is licensed to provide speech therapy to any Texas residents- whether in-person or via teletherapy. At the time of this writing, Lindsey is also licensed in California though the time zone makes it difficult to provide services for after-school clients. If you are located outside of Texas, please fill out the above contact form as she is considering licenses in other states and also keeps a referral list of SLPs around the world who enjoy treating R. Lindsey can also provide a consultation regardless of where you live.
What ages do you work with?
The youngest age at which Lindsey typically targets the R sound is 4 years old- though that is not common. Many clients start speech therapy for the R sound are age 6 or 7. Lindsey frequently works with teenagers and is happy to work with adults as well. Anyone who is ready to work on their R sound is welcome. Since starting her private practice, she has yet to meet a client she could not help- whether or not they’ve been in speech therapy before.
Do you only work on the R sound?
Yes and no. The L and W sound frequently go hand-in-hand with the R sound (this is called “gliding”) so Lindsey targets those as well. Lindsey is happy to co-treat with school SLPs and private speech therapists targeting other errors. She is also happy to clean up the R and then send them on their way to their regular speech therapist. Just let her know what you’re hoping for and she is happy to coordinate when possible.
What is your availability?
Lindsey keeps her caseload small so availability is limited. Please submit the contact form above for current openings.
What is your private pay rate?
Please submit the contact form above for current therapy rates.

“Lindsey is so fantastic at what she does. She was truly the only one who was able to help my son. After years of spending tons of money on private lessons, different teachers even my husband and I doing flash cards and exercises. We were SO grateful to have found Ms. Lindsey. She is a ray of sunshine and will not stop until your child succeeds. We are so thankful for all of the time and effort she has given us. My son has received the confidence he needed to be proud of himself and everything he’s accomplished.”
